Unknown error 1413: Solution to ipad recovery error 1413 on Apple tablets

　1. This symptom may be caused by anti-spyware software preventing iTunes from installing correctly. SpyCatcher is one such program. Temporarily disable the software and reinstall iTunes 7.0.2 or later.

Solution 3 (Windows only)

　1. Exit iTunes.

　2. Find the iPodUpdaterExt.dll file in Windows Explorer. This file is usually located in the following location: C:\Program Files\iTunes

3. In Windows Vista, click All Programs from the Start menu, click Accessories, and then click "run". Or, in Windows XP and 2000, from the Start menu, click Run.

4. Type cmd in the open bar, and then click "OK".

5. At the command prompt, type regsvr32 and then leave a space.

6. Type the path to the dll, as shown in the following example:

regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\iTunes\iPodUpdaterExt.dll"

7. Press Enter and a dialog box should appear:

DllRegisterServer in c:\Program Files\iTunes\iPodUpdaterExt.dll was successful.
