Lenovo Notebook Windows provides settings for using visual cues instead of sounds in many programs. These settings can be adjusted on the Replace sound with text or video page in the Ease of Access Center.
1. Click to open the Ease of Access Center.
2. Select the option you want to use:
Enable sound for video notifications. This option is used to set sound notifications to run when you log in to Windows. Sound notifications use visual cues in place of system sounds (such as flashes on the screen) so that system alerts can still be noticed even if the sound notification is not heard. You can also choose how audio notifications warn you. Enable text captions for language conversations. This option causes Windows to display text titles in place of sounds to indicate activity occurring on the computer (for example, when a document starts printing or finishes printing).
