How to use system restore on Acer notebooks under Windows XP, Vista and 7

System Restore can restore Windows hardware and software settings to a previous state. This will not affect personal data and documents such as emails, documents or photos. Windows XP, Vista and 7 automatically copy critical system settings, configuration details and hardware settings. Copies, called restore points, can also be created manually.
