ASUS UX21E series Instant Key function allows you to customize the Instant Key shortcut key in the upper left corner through ASUS's exclusive Instant Key Menu program. After the setting is completed, you only need to press the Instant Key lightly to realize one-click Internet access, one-click audio and video and other cool functions. The following is a brief introduction to how to use Instant Key:

1. Using the Instant Key function Before you first need to install the ASUS InstantKey Utility driver, the same ATKACPI driver and ATK hotkey utility program are also essential.

2. Before using Instant Key for the first time, you need to set the functions bound to Instant Key. Instant Key can only be bound to one function at a time. At this stage, the optional functions are included in the Instant Key Menu program. 10 functions. When setting up for the first time, you only need to tap the Instant Key once and the welcome interface will appear, such as the text introduction in the interface. After that, every time you reset the Instant Key, you need to press and hold the Instant Key for more than 3 seconds.

3. Click Confirm on the welcome interface to enter the setting interface. Set the functions you want Instant Key to implement. Select the function that needs to be bound at the bottom of the Instant Key Menu setting interface, such as the "Instant Program" function.

4. Then click on the right icon, select the program that needs to be opened with one click, select the file path and click "Open", and finally click "Apply" or "OK" in the Instant Key Menu setting interface. Instant Key can be opened with one clickThe function of the program. The only file formats that can be selected by default are .exe, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, and .pptx.

5. The same Instant Key can also be set to open the bound web page function with one click. Click the "Instant Internet" function in the function bar below the Instant Key Menu, and then also click on the right icon, manually enter the URL that needs to be bound, such as: http://www.asus.com.cn, and set it in the Instant Key Menu Click "Apply" or "OK" on the interface, and then just press the Instant Key to open the homepage of the ASUS official website.

6. The “countdown timer” in Instant Key is also a more practical function. You can set the machine to shut down, sleep and hibernate at a scheduled time. The setting method is also to first select "Countdown Timer" under the Instant Key Menu and click icon, select the function you want the machine to implement, shut down, sleep or hibernate, manually select the time to be set and confirm.

7. Select "Apply" or "Confirm" in the Instant Key Menu, and then the Instant Key becomes a timer switch. When the "Countdown Timer" function is used, the prompt in the picture below will appear in the lower right corner of the screen.
